The MSc in Ecology and Management of the Natural Environment at Bristol University is a well respected postgraduate course that trains students to become professional ecologists.
Teaching covers the full range of applied ecological skills including surveying, protected species monitoring, habitat creation and restoration, environmental impact assessment and project management. The format of this course is unique. Teaching takes place in twelve intensive one-week blocks spread over two years, with background reading and coursework in between.
This allows students to hold full-time jobs while studying for a valuable postgraduate qualification.
Demand for our graduates is high. Statutory agencies, local authorities, conservation charities, NGOs, private sector industry and environmental consultancies are keen to recruit well-trained ecologists.
