This bat has been described recently from Taiwan (Lin et al. 2004). It is very similar to Kerivoula hardwickii, and has a forearm length of 34.5-36.5 mm. Lin et al. (2004) describe it as being very closely related to K. hardwickii from Fukkien Province. In Taiwan, it is a forest species distributed from the lowlands to 1900m, and has been found roosting inside bamboos (Lin et al. 2004).
