Aerial Hawking

Prey is pursued and caught in flight.

Trawling

The hind legs or tail membrane is used to take prey from the surface of water bodies.

Gleaning

Prey is taken from leaves or the ground.

Perch Hunting

Bats remain on a perch until prey is detected, at which point they fly to capture the prey item.
