Other species: Other Pteropodidae listed in China include Macroglossus sobrinus (Yunnan), Sphaerias blanfordi (south Xixang and east Yunnan) and Pteropus lylei (Yunnan), but little is known about these bats in China. Records of the large flying foxes Pteropus vampyrus and P. giganteus are distant from the major centres of distribution for these species, and records seem open to doubt.
